A Townes Van Zandt song, and one of the most beautiful ever written. Nobody can touch Townes, but I love singing and playing this one.

Freight Train
Posted by: SirCoughsalot
Video duration: 59 seconds
A song written by Elizabeth Cotten. Chet Atkins also plays it and Nancy Whiskey I think did a sped-up version with just the singing, but Libba's is still the best. Check her out. No one can touch her.
Of course, I can't come anywhere close to either Ms. Cotten or Chet, but I like to play this song.

Little Maggie (two-finger thumb lead banjo)
Posted by: SirCoughsalot
Video duration: 88 seconds
An abbreviated version of one of my favorite songs. This is a bluegrass song, but I've kinda folked it up. I'm playing two-finger thumb lead here, and the banjo is in sawmill tuning. Hope you enjoy it.

Old Joe Clark (lap dulcimer)
Posted by: SirCoughsalot
Video duration: 58 seconds
Got this a long time ago. I don't play it much, I never could find a very good teacher. Anyhow, I felt like playing it tonight and decided to show it to all you good folks out in YouTube land.
Old Joe Clark is a very popular tune, the first I ever learned on the banjo. Should be a banjo version coming soon.
