And what a visit it was, I had to place virtually to myself, with only the custodians and guards inside. I made the trip with a private driver and a body guard. It was about 50 degrees, with a hot breeze. Had just over an hour to wander and wonder, before the public was allowed in. Spent the whole day around the stones, visited the cursus, the woodhenge, and walked as the sun was setting along the avenue, arriving at the stones in time for a druidic ceremony. Fabulous day, at fabulous site.
