Shuttle Discovery landing at Dulles Airport (to be housed in the Air and Space Museum). Video footage from two locations in Chantilly as Discovery flew around for several minutes.
This is a simulated landing using X-Plane 9 (Laminar Research) of Space Shuttle Discovery. Begins at a couple hundred thousand feet and ends up at Edwards Air Force Base. This is a manual land, something NASA astronauts practice repetitively despite having auto-pilot available to them during the actual land.
