*ing. Who cares? I still have? gum
By: MrNukeaholic. on 27 May 12, 02:21:32
I'd say I'm affect very little by ads, and the few that I? even bother to watch ( ads for movies or some video games ) I'm aware of the affect. Scam ads are still annoying though, cause I know someone somewhere got scammed because of it. ( or as he said, more people than they paid for ) And the "subliminal" advertising isn't like this evil mind control people oft make it out to be. If I'm buying gum, and I decide to buy big red over 5 gum because of something I saw on a billboard without know

I don't really want to be funded by scammy online dating sites.... Maybe something nice,? like Tide. Or Apple.
By: LoveTikii. on 27 May 12, 02:01:24
No please. Never. If i get bombarded with ads in one more place i might explode. I understand that ads are a necessary part of commerce but they are EVERYWHERE. Just watching this video (or trying to, i guess? i should say..) There was an ad right screen that was a VIDEO ad. Playing throughout your video :(

ADBLOCK? FTW
By: dobbaaa. on 26 May 12, 23:33:12
I didn't know that fair enough. But I agree with the meaning, regardless of who said? it

"Scammy online dating sites" says John.? "Hey look, Badoo wants me to meet new people," says me.
By: MindfreakDevinaShi. on 26 May 12, 22:12:39
Did? John just use Myspace as a verb?
By: hippogriffgrrl10. on 26 May 12, 22:09:53
I hate myself for using facebook... And even more for recognizing and admitting that I understand how I'm being used, but continue to use facebook because it's become such a *thing*. And I thinik about this in regards to other media outlets too, but facebook is so incredibly avoidable? and unimportant that I could easily stop using it, but I just don't.
By: autumnbreezed. on 26 May 12, 22:00:54
Or why they are forcing Timeline on people? who are actively against it. xD
By: autumnbreezed. on 26 May 12, 22:00:31
I'm the same. When an ad is just outright bad or annoying, when I see the product I'll actively? be against it because I think of it not as a product but as an ad. Similarly, though...awesome ads that you scarcely see work pretty well.
By: moomootheuglyshoe. on 26 May 12, 21:40:52
After taking an intro communications class, I've come to greatly appreciate the way the Internet advertises (as opposed to the way TV does, especially). There are indeed links on Facebook that I click - I found my favorite clothing sites that way. Not only does Facebook give the advertiser access to me, but it gives me better access to websites that actually interest me without me having to do the work of searching for them. Whereas, on TV,? the generalized demographics don't usually apply to me.
By: plaidpantsglory. on 26 May 12, 21:15:27
I don't know whether or not ads make me more likely to buy the things they are selling, but I do know? this. There are some video ads--ones for Mucinex comes to mind--that are so intrusive or repetitive (and LOUD) that I have actively avoided buying that product because of it.

You are the reason for my removing of adBlock, the only fear I have is that I don't want to see penis enhancement ads everywhere I go it's not very pleasant do you know of a way to change one's search patterns so other less? obtrusive ads appear instead?
By: hereverydayadventure. on 26 May 12, 18:24:04
I like using myspace? as a verb. To Myspace: To die completely overnight because of a superior product.
By: AlexandraPearce. on 26 May 12, 17:55:25
Facebook could? myspace tomorrow funny but so true, i'm actually waithing for it to happen
By: MudHut67. on 26 May 12, 16:27:07
I am not convinced at all that I personally am a(e?)ffected by ads. In fact, when I see ads I begin to see the depicted product? or service with disdain.
