(U.S.A.) land of the stupid and the brave.I'M AN AMERICAN,? I'M AN AMERICAN and MY NAME IS Bubba Cornhauler! More than 50% of them don't even know where the name america comes from!
By: dafabv. on 24 May 12, 06:24:17
Aol makes money with the help of retarded americans that are so fucking stupid they don't even know how to use a fucking computer , what is a start button, what is a browser, whats the difference between dialup and broadband fat , stupid and sustained by their government and they still think they are right even when they are? proven wrong.

Do the suits @ AOL NOT have any clue how F'd? up AOL really is???? Talk about the "emperor's new clothes"!
By: pincyberjedi. on 06 May 12, 04:41:46
We all know that dialup final days are closer then ever. The only thing is that some of the people that do have dialup, but also can get broadband anytime, they don't! And you know? why? Because they are so scrooges that they don't realize the speed difference between this 2 internet services and for 20$ more it worths all the money to get broadband. AOL is making money, not from dialup services, but from advertising, like any other major company this days. It's all about the money!
By: chicomdk. on 06 May 12, 02:59:57
And all the benifits they offer with a little google searching i can get almost all them for free somewhere else. Through Google none the less or Yahoo. AOL Is now trying to be more like them, but they waited to long and tried to stay the same in an ever changing world. They didnt wont to adapt they wanted? things to be the same and it hurt them so they tried tatics to try and stall. Hell even the NY Supreme court ruled against them in a call action lawsuit for them trying to make people stay.
By: chicomdk. on 06 May 12, 02:57:31
Yes but that market is shrinking, yes there are a places that dial up is the only solution but that is changing fast. Hell verizon it self had to change it's business model because many people dont even get land lines any more. AOL is? but only recently trying to become a content provider now, and AOL barely even advertises it's dial up service anymore why because they finally had to accept that it is a dying market.

Who the hell would? want AOL anyway! Hooray Vincent for screwing the company that screwed millions of Internet users.
By: minecraftian7689. on 05 May 12, 21:11:01
Why don't they just? cancel the account. This is the reason why AOL is a dick.
By: pincyberjedi. on 05 May 12, 15:56:41
Unfortunatelly, there is not much to change for dialup, and that's all what AOL offers. Actually, the members pay not for the slow speed of internet access, but for the only way to connect AND the benefits included! Just as a test, try to count how much? it'll cost to pay separate, for each of the benefits. The email can be accessed through webmail, so anyone can use broadband. Some of the dudes that called, they complained about not having access to AOL with broadband, when broadband don't work!

Probably 80% of all the callers "have a business and lose money"! :)) I really know what most of this business men/women do... Pogo, Facebook and a lot of subscriptions to unuseful news, then they complain about having to? much spam! Let's get serious, I'm sure that, if you had a business, you've had enough money to pay someone to take care of a simple backup.
By: chicomdk. on 29 Apr 12, 00:25:32
but the fact of matter is AOL tried to keep people that had no desire to stay. Rather or not this guy is part of scandle is not really the? point is this did happen. AOL even eventually dissolved their retention dept. Again I had friend who worked there and he told me many times that AOL tried so hard to stay to an obsolete business model and tired whatever they could to hold on to it other then evolve with the time.

When we tried to stop our service they over and over again tried get us keep out service. Even though we didnt want it or need it. They even tried send collections against us when my dad just canceled the credit card that was associated with it. Only after my dad threatened legal recourse did they back off. I will agree that a lot of? people out there dont know the difference between a monitor and their computer.
By: chicomdk. on 29 Apr 12, 00:20:33
ok since you did come back with a rational argument. I will do the same for you. When comes down to AOL messed up, as the internet changed they did not. Yes a lot of people dont have Broadbad connections I know this my father worked for verizon and explained to me yes there are many areas that still dont have broadband opitions. My father and I had aol but once we got Cable we didnt need it or? want it. My father and i are both very computer savy.
By: PichuJace. on 28 Apr 12, 23:08:58
That guy is a? bit of a douche behind AOL.
By: pincyberjedi. on 24 Apr 12, 05:08:45
Sure you've got hacked... like someone needs to see your high classified highschool emails! Why don't you say that you're just blonde enough to learn how to use an antivirus and change the password? periodically? :))
By: pincyberjedi. on 24 Apr 12, 04:59:00
Chicomdk - i've been? there just enough to understand that probably 50% of the members are just incredible stupid. All the others are pleased with the services and don't have complaints after maybe more than 12 years. It's all about the common sense here! The fat guy on TV, it was just another looser!
By: chicomdk. on 22 Apr 12, 22:39:42
I had friend who use to work for AOL, and he said it was the best and worst job he ever walked away from. He got paid for pretty much doing nothing he worked as a programmer? for them and the company was so horribly managed that he was not surprised by all the problems they are now having.
By: chicomdk. on 22 Apr 12, 22:37:43

By: TheParaAnalysis. on 20 Apr 12, 18:55:07

I had more hassle with tiscali back in 06 it took 50 minutes to? speak to someone and then when they said they were transferring you it would disconnect the call. I wasted 2-3 hours before giving up. I ended up purposely downloading multiple 2GB+ game demos from sites to avoid p2p traffic shaping all day and night until they rang me to inform me i was breaking there Acceptable usage policy. I told them i would keep doing it till they cancelled my account they gave me my mac code within 2 minutes.
