You tell me how many people wanted clean elections but did not march for fear of police crackdown or work then I'll do the math. It's sad that you blame people who has the right to clean elections and denied that right and took the only available rightful? option of peaceful assembly to assert the right, rather than the Government that has the obligation and power to meet the people's demand and yet refused. If 'everybody wants clean elections' like you said, what excuse does the Government has?

'riots, violence and mayhem'?Calm down, will you? What do you called what happened in London or Greece recently?War?You don't know who triggered? the confrontation. It's quite clear that the police created most of the life threatening situations eg by firing teargas at a crowd that could cause stampede and ganged up on civilians who were not troublemakers in the first place. And you blamed BERSIH?

And? all these dramatic scenes you depicted here won't happen if we march to Stadium because....? All 300K (your figure) march in one angle (I take it you meant street) is safe?

By the way yellow is the royal? colour in the country and the bersih chose it without telling the govermwnt. Such a disgrace
By: MidWeekComic13. on 02 May 12, 10:46:08
bersih is just a stupid party arguing about the election is not clean, saying that there are extra voters who does not exist. All of this is not true and they do not have the proof. The government already ask for the proof? and the bersih party never reply. The bershi made the demands and there where 8 and 1 of the demands request for the election commission chairmen to put down his position. Only 7 of the 8 request have been fulfill and yet bersih say that they have not done they demand. They s

In fact they are hindering the right of others to use the square. It's even worse when the agenda involves certain parties ( in this case high posting members of the opposition party) and giving the impression that the whole of Malaysia is against the government for clean elections. Everybody wants clean elections. Why so dramatic? Too much V for? vendetta movies I suppose. Parading in masks? Revolution and shit? For real. I don't know what the ratio of 300,000 vs. The people. You do the maths.
By: danialmk. on 02 May 12, 09:21:15
to cater for a group of protesters which have political agendas which have already faced high critisicm for triggering riots, violence and mayhem in the city. There was Bersih 1.0 and Bersih 2.0. Considering the ill minded and ignorant way of thinking, Past lessons were forgotten on how these? rallies turn out by the bersih organizers. Can you blame the government for learning their lesson and keeping the city peaceful for the rest of us?
By: danialmk. on 02 May 12, 09:19:01
What's wrong with holding it at Dataran? This is getting old but for your sake I'd repeat this. Now the plan is to march to Dataran correct? Because you guys crave for the media attention like whining babies you have to march from all angles and make it seem like a big dramatic union. With this you involve all routes essential to the city for the public to? carry on with their weekend activities, business etc. See where I'm going? Why should the government sacrifice such a symbolic field, cont.

You see that's the difference with me and you. I don't look at the money. Whatever you read here is from a sincere, honest and extremely dissatisfied rakyat. I understand what you are trying to do. It's a sign of weakness to tell you the truth. But i guess cheap shots are for cheap minds. Cybertrooper. Wow you give me too? much credit.

Well, were your permission ever asked? Which department? do one go to seek permission from the 'free and happy rakyat'? As long as BERSIH is not hindering other people's right to use it, they should be allowed to use it. Are they? I don't think so. It's the Government that is taking their right away.
By: 1000wrongdecisions. on 01 May 12, 07:32:26
I can't speak for BERSIH on why they chose Dataran but I don't see what harm that could do. One would have to march to stadium as one did to the Dataran. Maybe we crave for the media attention, but it's for the CAUSE since the Govenment and the mainstream media is giving it their cold shoulders. The question you should be asking is what's wrong with holding it in Dataran? The excuses? given by the Government are just absurd.
