Any visitor to London who has a preconceived idea from books of what British Culture is will quickly realize that Britain has gone and the invasion of dark barbarians from the east has all but obliterated what was quintessentially British.?

The romans? didn't build the wall to protect the people of Britain, on average the Roman upper echelons couldn't care less about the average people in Britain, it was simply to consolidate their territory and stop picts from forcing the romans any further south than they really wanted to go.

The Roman soldiers liked the local women. Roman soldiers were forbidden to marry but often took up the native women and many established families. Many deserted? the army when they were to be transfered to another location.

Since nobody else has put it down time to learn. At the end of the video they tell you the romans did not care for the ppl that lived there? But they did, that is why they builded the wall. To stop the Pictish people from killing them.? The picts had no big armies so they were raiders like ghost kill then back to the woods, with your spoils of the raid. A 15 foot wall wood stop the raids real quick.

The British and Dutch empires of the 17th till 19th century were impressive as well. They dominated the world ( although? for a shorter timeperiode ) just as much as the Romans did. If the Roman empire was not a bad thing, than these other to werent either. They both had the same morals.
