Based on a real-life battle, Zulu follows a group of British soldiers (led by Michael Caine, in his first starring role) stationed in South Africa who must defend their tiny outpost against an attack by an overwhelming force of Zulu warriors. Outnumbered 40 to 1, the stoic British soldiers are still ready to fight to the finish. Richard Burton narrates this epic war film shot on location in Natal.

Not really. 1)? Zulus were MUCH better organized, 2) it was permitted to bayonet the survivors.

Read up on the Battle of Rorke's Drift. Cannons = 0, Gatling guns = 0, rockets = 0. Perhaps 140 British troops faced around? 4,000 of the best warriors Africa had ever produced. And yet the British won. What would have happened if American troops had been there? If it had been General George Crook like at the Battle of the Rosebud, the defenders would have been massacred. The US Army in the 1870's were the scum of the earth, often fresh off Ellis Island. Drunkards, deserters, cons, etc.

Just replace the Zulus with a mob? of black rioters and you got the same result.

The Zulus might have fought 41,000+ people in that war. What? the fuck. 17 Cannons, a Gatling gun, rocket battery, and better quality gun powder. It's no wonder those fuckin faggots won. Didn't win in America tho did they LMFAO

This will be the third time: where did you read about Germany getting aircraft from Boeing? talking about planes in a video when planes don't exist??
By: ImperialistRunningDo. on 26 May 12, 04:20:49
To add to the list of great US planes that had a lethal teething period would be the F4U Corsair. It's huge engine made it hard to see the strip when landing, and its gear proved too delicate for rough carrier-based landings. It earned the nick-name "Ensign Eliminator." But? given to the Marines to land ashore, it was a worthy mount.

No doubt? the Brits weren't too impressed with the early Lend-Lease Lightnings they got. For some reason they insisted that the props not be "handed" and that the superchargers not be installed. The result was a most unsatisfactory aircraft, unstable and underpowered. Live and learn.

A young Robin Olds (who later was a top-scoring Phantom driver in Vietnam) nearly bought the farm in a Lightning due to the? compressibility problem. He had just about run out of sky when he regained control and pulled it out at the last minute. The force of the airstream actually blew the top of his canopy off on the way down. He was heading for home at treetop level when an Me-109 bounced him. He managed a high-g turn to slow rapidly and cause Fritz to overshoot. Rat-tat-tat and no more Fritz.
